Tunnel books are defined by their stage-like window containing different layers of an image. In this workshop, students begin by designing the image they want their book to show. Separating the image into foreground, mid-ground, and background layers, they construct their book. Additionally, single pop-ups and more complicated structures are explored. Basic drawing, painting, and collage techniques are demonstrated and practiced.
