Our phone cameras used to be a last resort if we were looking for a decent picture, now the smartphone technology has expanded to such a degree it eclipses all point-and-shoot cameras on the market! In this workshop, learn how to go beyond portrait mode and unlock the shortcuts to getting a perfectly focused, vibrant, and well-lit shot every time.
Experience
Through interactive presentations and exercises, learn how to set tack-sharp focus, adapt to challenging light, set custom exposure, and photograph moving subjects without blur. Discuss when to use different shooting modes and how to edit troublesome images to match your expectations. Explore the artistic side of photography as you practice harnessing natural light and composing dynamic images. Even plan out the best ways to store, organize, and back up our images to easily find and enjoy them again.

Kasey Hembel entered college as an art major with emphases in ceramics and painting. Introduction to Photography and an assertive professor taught her to see images in a way she had never considered before. Kasey couldn't get enough of it. Fast forward, she now co-owns and operates Kasey and Ben Photography and is the founder of Mama + Maker. In her free time, Kasey can be found outside, spending time with family, and over celebrating anything that can be celebrated.
