Personal interests, favorite things, and friends and family provide young artists with inspiration for a variety of artworks in this one-day workshop. Students create lasting sculptures of their favorite foods using papier-maché techniques, tempera paint, and mixed media. As layers dry, young artists shift gears to work on self-portraits that include colors, patterns, objects, and other symbols that tell the viewer more about them. Proportions, color mixing, and painting techniques are demonstrated and practiced.

Please bring a packed lunch!
