Concept

Designed for those interested in making a piece on the potter's wheel for the first time, this workshop guides you through the process of wedging clay, centering on the wheel, and creating a small bowl or cup. Learn about the firing process and select glazes for your completed pieces. Develop new skills and the motivation to continue exploring your ceramic interests. Instructor

Sarena is a ceramic artist that earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point in May of 2023.  Sarena currently resides and works in Stevens Point. She has created a body of work that includes functional, handmade pottery during her studies at the University. Her work is primarily wheel-thrown with stoneware clay that results in a wide range of form and shape. She currently works out her quaint and developing home studio to create enhancing, functional and significant pieces.
